Eindhoven, 2 april 2011. Uitvoering van Simeon ten Holts Canto Ostinato door vier pianisten: Elizabeth Bergmann, Marcel Bergmann, Sandra van Veen en Jeroen van Veen. Tijdens het concert worden luchtfoto's van de Nederlandse fotograaf Karel Tomeï geprojecteerd.

Inrakelen van de zeef met de foto-emulsie en het belichten van het model.

De cabine waar na belichting de zeef wordt uitgespoten en het sjabloon zichtbaar wordt.

 Na de zeef gecontroleerd te hebben op gaatjes in de film-emulsie wordt de  zeef nog een      keer belicht om uit te harden, zodat de filmlaag na  gebruik makkelijk te verwijderen is. 
 De geprepareerde zeef wordt bevestigd aan de zeefdruk-tafel.

Daarna stel je de zeefdruk-tafel zo in, dat het model en de afbeelding op de zeef, precies met elkaar samenvallen. De rode plakkertjes geven aan waar het papier moet liggen, dit is belangrijk als je meerdere drukgangen hebt.

Klaar om de inkt met de rakel door de zeef te drukken. 
Plaatsen van het papier tegen de aanlegpunten aan.
En daar gaat 'ie dan... de inkt wordt door de zeef op het papier gedrukt.

En daar liggen ze dan... mijn zeefdrukken!

'Being' there ...on Alex's wall

         

“Being”  2013, 70 x 120 cm, acrylic on canvas

I gave the painting the title “Being”. Not only because it looks like a little creature, but also because of the link to the verb “being” (like the word “zijn” in Dutch).  As a self-sustaining whole, a cycle of life that is always flowing; a continuing flow of life. Connected to the earth and cosmos, that sees, knows, carries life and allows it to blossom, grow and thrive. An inner sun spirals upward, where it becomes part of the all-seeing eye, shining its light on the world. A small raincloud with raindrops (or teardrops) nurtures growth; raindrops fall, or are they little fish? When there is love inside, it can also find its way out.
